Teesside Positive Action Ltd (trading as TPA) is a Middlesbrough based HIV support charity covering the whole of Teesside (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland) and beyond.
Our services have evolved over the years to reflect changes to HIV care provision and a range of community services are now available. These include, but are not limited to: emotional and practical support to anyone infect with or personally affected by HIV, rapid HIV testing, advice and information about HIV and AIDS, sexual health and LGBT issues, training and education, advocacy work and HIV awareness.
In July 2006, TPA started a revolutionary kind of HIV testing allowing results to be given in less than 1 hour. This test is available to anybody over the age of 16 and requires a simple finger jab and not a venous sample. We run a drop in clinic on Mondays between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm (not including bank holidays) and an appointment service from our premises in Baker Street, Middlesbrough as well as from several satellite clinics in Stockton and Durham – simply call the office and we will try to arrange an appointment that suits your schedule.
